The Fantasy Report Week 3
Amari Cooper WR Raiders: Amari Cooper was a very popular pick for a comeback player this year. The jury is still out on whether Cooper is back to his old-self, having a bad week one but a good week two. Cooper faces the Miami Dolphins this year who are not particularly good against the pass. They allowed Sam Darnold to throw for over 330 yards in week two, in which Quincy Enunwa received 92 of those. It seems like Carr is making an effort to get him the ball and I expect him to get a lot of volume this week.
Quincy Enunwa WR Jets: Enunwa had a great year in 2016, but after an injury at the beginning of the year in 2017, he was kind of forgotten. Enunwa is back and healthy and seems to be the primary target for Darnold. Enunwa has 155 yards and one touchdown this year, and looked really good last week against the Dolphins. Enunwa faces the Browns this week who do have an improved defenses, but I am still starting him with confidence.
Kenny Golladay WR Lions: Golladay has gotten off to a great start this year, and is quickly climbing up the Lions depth chart. Golladay is averaging over 100 yards a game so far this year and has a touchdown to his name. In a game with two great offenses and two struggling defenses, I expect Golladay to be on the field a lot and get plenty of opportunities to have a big day.
Keenan Allen WR Chargers: In reality you are probably not benching Keenan Allen, but maybe you should consider it if you have good other options. Allen struggled last week, and has a crushing matchup this week against the Rams. The Rams have shut down Cooper and Fitzgerald in week 1&2 and there is a real chance that Allen is shutdown as well. If you are starting Allen, you are simply betting on his talent.
Phillip Dorsett WR Patriots: Dorsett has been picked up in a lot of leagues, but with the addition of Josh Gordon I really don’t see much volume going to Dorsett. There is a chance of him getting a long TD pass, I just feel there are better options if you are considering Dorsett.
Isaiah Crowell RB Jets: Crowell had a fantastic week one, but was outplayed by Billal Powell in week two. Crowell is facing a Browns defense which kept Kamara largely in check and should be very pumped up for a primetime matchup.
QB: Ryan Tannehill
RB: Corey Clement
WR: Tyler Boyd
TE: Jesse James
D/ST: Cleveland Browns
Fantasy Stock Market:
Patrick Mahomes QB Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes sat out pretty much all of last year, and it seems like it paid off. Mahomes has ten touchdowns through two game and I see no reason why he would suddenly fall off. For a guy who was drafted as a backup in most leagues, there are not many other QB’s I would rather have than Mahomes.
David Johnson RB Cardinals: Viewed by some as the best player in fantasy coming in and a lock top five pick, David Johnson has struggled mightily the first two weeks, and owners are starting to panic. There is a real question in my mind if he will end the year as an RB1. Johnson has not adapted well to the new offensive system, and might be used entirely different way than before. Johnson is either a bust, or the ultimate buy-low.
